LawZero is a nonprofit startup developing technical solutions for highly-capable, safe-by-design AI systems.

We are building a multi-step pathway to safe advanced AI, so that future AI systems are developed and deployed responsibly, equitably, and as a global public good. Simply put, we are creating a fundamentally new form of advanced AI, designed to be trustworthy and safe. Our scientific direction is based on groundbreaking research led by Professor Yoshua Bengio, a globally recognized expert in AI and the world's most cited living scientist across all fields. Thanks to the support of generous donors, we launched a major nonprofit AI safety startup, insulated from market pressures that often prioritize speed of deployment over safety and trustworthiness.
