Govbase uses AI to track federal policy, political news, and elected officials' social media, then scores how each policy personally impacts citizens.

Govbase started in February 2025 as a solo project to solve a basic problem: there's no single place where Americans can see what the federal government is doing and understand how it affects them. Policy is scattered across Congress.gov, the Federal Register, and the White House, written in language most people can't parse.

Govbase aggregates federal policy from these primary sources, uses AI to generate plain-language explanations, and shows personal impact across over a hundred demographic profiles covering government programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP, disabilities, and life circumstances like being a veteran, a student, a retiree, or a small business owner. It connects policy actions to news coverage across the political spectrum and politician statements through story bundles, giving users a complete picture without editorial filtering. Live on iOS, Android, and web.

It's built for everyday citizens, but also serves advocacy organizations, journalists, and government affairs teams who need affordable policy tracking. Ad-free by design, structured as a public benefit corporation.

People can help by using it, sharing feedback, and connecting us with civic organizations that could benefit from the tool.
