Project Parichay is a digital identity generator that provides proof of identity and dignity to India's 450 million informal workers who currently lack official documentation.

India has nearly 450 million informal workers (about 90% of the workforce) who lack formal work contracts, social security, and, critically, official identification tied to their employment. This "invisibility" prevents them from accessing basic government welfare, financial services (loans), insurance, and fair wages. Project Parichay generates a secure, verifiable digital ID/profile for these workers. This profile serves as: 1. Proof of Identity (Parichay means 'introduction/identity'). 2. Proof of Work Record (A verifiable work history, essential for stability). 3. Gateway to Benefits (Links the worker to potential government social security schemes like health insurance, which are often conditional on formal ID). It restores dignity and visibility to an enormous, essential, but marginalized segment of the population. By providing a digital record, it aids in their transition from the informal to the formal economy, which is a major policy goal of the Indian government (e.g., NITI Aayog's proposed Digital ShramSetu Mission)
